Frequently Asked Questions

What if I play other sports?

Fusào believes that young people should be active and involved at their school, church and home. We encourage our athletes to participate in activities that make them happy. Many high school basketball, softball and soccer coaches tell their athletes not to play club. Fusào VC believes that athletes and their parents are the people who make that decision. Punishing athletes for participating in activities outside of school time is unfair, athletes and parents should stand up to those coaches and report unfair behavior to the athletic directors. At Fusào athletes will be asked to make as much activity as they can, even if it means coming late to practice—or going to practice with another team, the important thing is communication, coaches need to know who will and won’t be at practice so they can plan appropriately. When dealing with coaches of other sports it is good to remember that around 30,000 girls will play college volleyball next year, a number substantially larger then women’s college basketball.

Where are practices held?

Fusào is proud to call Lodi Sports and Recreation Center (LSRC) home. All Fusao practices are held at the Lodi Sports and Recreation Center. Fusào will also host tournaments at the Lodi Sports and Recreation Center.

How many people will be on our team?

Fusào teams will consist of 10 players.

Will everyone on the team play?

Fusào VC believes that club players gain the most from practicing consistently from December to June. Match competition is also important and all players attending practices on a regular and consistent basis will participate in competition.

When will we know who our coaches are?

Some Fusào coaches have high school affiliations. For this reason we will wait until the try-out process is over to assign our coaches.
